The Perfect Facial Angles<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

There are many features of the nose to consider before shaping and augmentation should be done. The first thing that usually comes to our minds is; \u2018I want a higher nose\u2019<\/strong> or \u2018I want a sharper nose.\u2019<\/strong><\/span><\/p>

Let me explain and show what the different facial angles and features are that should be considered before any augmentation.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Facial symmetry:<\/h3>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Our faces can be divided into horizontal thirds and vertical fifths<\/strong><\/span><\/h6>

Ideally, for an aesthetically pleasing face, these divided portions of the face should be equal in width or length. Unequal size might result in asymmetry.<\/span><\/p>

Facial fillers can be used to correct some asymmetry in the face, resulting in a more attractive shape aesthetically.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Nasofrontal Angle<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>

This is the angle that is most sought-after by many people, especially Asians, as it is the angle that determines the height of our nose-bridge. This angle is measured from the forehead to the top most \u2018sunken\u2019 part of the nose bridge to the tip of the nose. The angle formed should be ideally between 115-130 degrees. An angle of about 120-130 is most desirable for women while a more acute angle for men.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>

Nasofacial Angle<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>

This angle is defined by the angle between the line drawn from the forehead to the chin and the line from the top most \u2018sunken\u2019 part of the nose bridge to the tip of the nose. This angle should be ideally between\u00a030-40 degrees. If you have a flat nose, this angle would be lesser than 30 degrees.<\/span><\/p>

Nasomental Angle<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>

This angle is defined by the angle between the line drawn from the top most \u2018sunken\u2019 part of the nose bridge to the tip of the nose and the line from the tip of the nose to the chin. This angle should be between 120 \u2013 132 degrees. If you have a flat nose or a recessed (inward) chin, this angle will fall outside of the \u2018ideal\u2019 range.<\/span><\/p>

Nasolabial Angle<\/span><\/strong><\/h6>

This angle is defined by the angle at the base of the nose. An ideal angle of 90-120 degrees is desired. A wider angle of between\u00a0105-120 degrees\u00a0is more favourable for women. A more acute angle of 90-100 is desirable for men.<\/span><\/p><\/div><\/div>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
